Here I wanted to follow up with the knowledge of how the ‘Brilliant’ round cut became one of the most commercialised shapes for the modern day.
I won’t copy all of the information which GIA has available. We must remember that I am not a diamond specialist and this is not the point of my blog. I want to give a brief explanation as to what the differences between the old vs new stone cuts and how we have developed into the standard brilliant diamond.
I have included multiple helpful resources from the GIA website throughout this page to help provide more accurate details.
